Md. Alauddin
Md. Alauddin is a Doctoral Candidate at IIUM Malaysia. Prior to that, Mr. Alauddin was serving as Lecturer of Economics at School of Business at Uttara University and Lecturer at the Department of Economics at IUBAT - International University of Business Agriculture and Technology. He was affiliated with School of Business Management at Indus International University as Visiting Faculty Member.
Mr. Alauddin completed Master of Arts in Development Economics from South Asian University (SAU), New Delhi, India. He was awarded SAARC Silver Jubilee Scholarship for pursuing his master's degree. He pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in International Relations from the Department of International Relations, University of Dhaka. Mr. Alauddin earned his Bachelor of Economics (BSS Hons) from the Department of Economics, University of Dhaka. He has also received another master's in industrial relations and labor Studies (IRLS) from University of Dhaka.
Mr. Alauddin started his research career at Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies (BIDS) as a research officer. He has also worked with Innovations for Poverty Actions (IPA) as research assistant, Economics Research Group (ERG) as a Feild Supervisor, Center for Policy Dialogue (CPD) as a Visiting Research Associate, International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) as a Project Assistant. He has also worked with United Nations ESCAP Asia Pacific Subregional Office as an Economics Affairs Intern at New Delhi, India. He was a National Resource Person (NRP) of the National Malaria Elimination Program (NMEP) of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Bangladesh.
Mr. Alauddin is a prolific writer both in Bangla and English. He has published a Book in Bangla named "Bishwabidyalay Theke Coaching Center" where he pinpointed the contemporary problems of higher education in Bangladesh and put suggestions for improving it. He has published academic article in different journals including Springar, Banarash Hindu University India, Australia and Ukraine. He regularly contributes to different national dailies in Bangladesh.
Mr. Alauddin is the founding member of Bangladesh Study Forum (BDSF) which established in Dhaka University to cultivate the knowledge culture among the university students of Bangladesh. He is also the Founding Member of Development Study Group (DSG), the official student chapter of the Department of Economics at South Asian University, New Delhi, India.
